WHAT ARE MALA BEADS? In the yogic tradition, Mala beads are used in japamala practice to recite mantras in meditation. A full cycle of 108 repetitions are counted on the Mala so the practitioner can focus on the sounds, vibrations and means of what is being said.
Amazonite This Mala necklace/ bracelet is made from stunning Amazonite. Amazonite is known to encourage good luck and fortune. It is named the ‘Hope Stone’ and is known to have lined the shields of Amazon Warriors (as well as being the gemstone in Tutankhamun’s tomb). It is said to have a soothing effect on the nervous system. Since the nervous system controls our emotions this stone is said to help control our emotions, soothing tense and aggregated situations, whilst increasing love.
